for a bad example of my use of tact, I left a post-it on the fridge and was out cleaning the pool (age 16) to tell her that her grandmother had died.

the fakirs...ah what can an American say? In America people would stare for a moment, then shake it off and walk away mumbling "freak." In India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh they are worshiped as holy men.
So, as the PSA of the night....if you're young, can do unusual things with your body (or have a high pain threshold) make sure your skin tone matches an East Indian pigment, get cash to move to the region, and live out life on tips and donations.
the osterage with it's head in the ground reminded me of my sister and her $100K in debt because she went to DePaul for a Masters in Education and doesn't have the ISK... er, cash to pay it back

EDIT: New image put in place of seemingly borked old one. Not quite the same, but it conveys what I was looking for.
