New guy question!

Hey guys,

New TGRAD member here fresh from the UNI! I have a quick question about forum access. As far as I can tell I have the correct information in my profile. The API key and id are there. I also know it takes a day or so to sync up, but it’s been since Monday when I registered and I still don’t have access. Is the API information the only mandatory thing that I needed to have in my profile to gain full access?

Thanks!
Lu

Welcome!

Corp forum access is actually governed by your account on ECM , which can read your in-game titles and such. It's a bit of a time sink to setup but makes for a much cleaner system for member and leadership.

You will need to register on the ECM tool under your main charname. You then need to submit the API's of all accounts which contain an in-corp character (PLEASE ASSOCIATE YOUR ALTS TO YOUR MAIN ACCOUNT.) After this you will need to bind your corp forum account to your ECM account (enter your corp forum login details in this one) in order to allow forum access.

That's it! Wait a couple hours and everything should sync up. If/when you join alts to corp over time PLEASE remember to add their respective APIs to your main account so we know who belongs to who. :)

Any questions or clarifications, feel free!

Tazerz,

Thank you so much for the information. I created the ECM account but the server that hosts the confirmation email request appears to be down. I'll try it again in a while. Either way, it's a step in the right direction!

Thank you again!

Lu

No problem, hopefully my explanations weren't too circular. It is a deceptively straight forward process but very easy to get confused. :)

Also make sure your API key is set to non-expiring. By default it comes up with a 1-day expiration, which was the problem I had...
