Hey gang, hoping to get some suggestions and input from people who know more about this stuff than me...

I run a dual monitor setup at home, 1080p/60fps horizontal only. One of my monitors went out, well past warranty. I want to replace one or both with a better resolution display but I'm divided on a couple models/brands. I'm looking at WQHD (2560x1440) which is the same 16:9 aspect ratio I'm used to and seems like the best value when going beyond 1080p. I know 1080p is cheaper these days but if I'm going to upgrade I want to start pushing the resolution up a notch.

here's what I'm looking at initially and welcome any suggestions or feedback.

Last time my monitor failed, i got it to a tech, turns out one of the capacitor blew, he replaced it and everything worked fine.
Unless it's the thin film of screen itself that fail, it'll probably be less costly if you have it looked over.

Yeah, the 1080p displays are pretty cheap and my desk wont fit 30" displays comfortably.

I ended up with an Asus 24" 1920x1200 display that's really slick. right at $300, good color and response. only 1 for now, I'll buy a second later when I get around to it.
