SO looking for the jackass that set off the fire alarm
Nothing like being rudely awaken by the nightly caress of someone's finger on the buildings fire alarm. Then I realize its kind of smelling like burnt popcorn and theres yelling about. So I'm like, hmm time to go. I walk out the door..... into the shared apartment living space. smoke is everywhere, looks like a vietnam movie. And I'm like " yep, someone I live with is a jackass ".
So, turns out someone was making mac and cheese, but forgot to add water to the microwaveable components. And left it in there for 10 minutes. It shrank from like 32 oz's of pure macncheeseiness to the size of a small extremely burnt biscuit in plastic wrapping, which he also forgot to remove. The smell will permeate for days. Days.

The Red team is available to pod the fool.
Was this an incident of drunken "I can cook-ness" or is it someone who needs to return their opposable thumbs, because they don't have the resources required to use them?

Reminds me of when a coworker put their leftover Mongolian BBQ noodles in the microwave to reheat, but accidentally put in 20 minutes instead of 2, and then forgot it was in there the moment they started it.

Yeah someone in an apartment building I lived in put their frozen pizza in the oven and put it on clean. Caused a fair amount of smoke while we evacuated the building.

Night #6 of the Fire Alarm Culprit. Ah, this is what makes dorm life so unattractive.
The cause of fire this time?
Romantic Candlelight chicken dinner, in a Apartment complex notorious for its " No Candles, dumbass's " and " Your Culinary skills end in failure because college students are stupid " policy. The chicken survived, but apparently got cold. Like everyone waiting outside. The candles were appropriated by the good folk at the fire department. Hopefully they exorcise them back to their devil dimension, next to calculus and nixon.

Wouldn't you get fined or something for all that? Was each incident a different genius-to-be?

Re: SO looking for the jackass that set off the fire alarm
LMAO I didn't realize I wasn't alone with burnt macncheese stories. Well a few (10) years ago I came home a little wobbly from the bar. Having the munchies I began to search the cupboards for something to eat and found the last box of macncheese. So I decide it's a good idea at 330 am to boil water and make some. Well I passed out on the couch and woke up about 3 hours later to a house filled with macncheese smoke. The pot completely boiled dry and a black smoldering mass that once was a pot of macaroni. The stench was almost unbearable and it stuck around for days and days if not a couple weeks. So ya I've been that jack-ass before

It seems I can join this company as well, but mine might been seen as more serious matter.
When the twintowers was hit the 9/11 I was stationed at Keflavik Airbase (US Base), attending a exercise. Naturally the exercise was stopped, but the day after we had a technician who did the same as the OP posted. The US military personell on the base was not pleased when they responed to a firealarm and actually thought it was another attack, but this time on the base (yeah I can see why they was on their toes, with little or no tolerance for any false alarms).
That building smelled crap for many days, before they managed to air it out.
We Norwegians was looked upon as jackasses after this little incident, by the US personell, but who can blame them
