New games...space & flight sims

I have been looking around for a little while and decided to start asking on http://www.gamespot.co.uk (massive amount of forum members!) for a decent flight sim and space genre games.

Evochron Legends (imminent release):

This game is coded and developed by ONE guy! He has a series going at the moment. The highlights of this game for me are...

SEEMLESS universe...there's none of the jump gates, cynosural fields. You use jump drive and can fly into the atmosphere of planets and land! You can even hide inside asteroids to evade detection.

Single player and Multiplayer - it's all the same! You can hop in and out of each others games, it saves what you find/earn/do in either mode. You can trade, explore, PVP against others, against AI in coop etc.

True physics - gravity, black holes, atmosphere, weather.

Customizable ships... with a nice cockpit view, with dials & instruments etc.

It supports a 3D virtual reality head tracker (6 points DOF) and well, I'm going to keep looking at this, as I might get one!

Infinity looks wtfawesome. They're do some manner of higher-level coding to procedurally generate stuff. And it looks fantastic.

Too bad it's not even in Alpha yet.

Nice... see the video where you go around on the planet with gravity? Then zooms out to space and the dust ring, turns into many many asteroids seemlessly? That looked very good!

Hmmm...vaporware at the moment it seems...and not set in the FASA/MechWarrior Universe. Bummer on the last. But yeah, at least someone is thinking about a mech MMO...
